The magic of Ayurvedic Kansa wand

Little did I know about Kansa wand and its healing magic until I studied about it. Rooted in Ayurveda and Indian heritage, the Kansa wand is a dome shaped wand crafted of bronze alloy - copper and tin and a wooden holder.

The real magic comes from the alkaline nature of the metal used. It balances the three Doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha, helps in blood circulation, maintains the pH balance, enables lymphatic drainage, detoxifies, relaxes the muscles while giving a healthy, glowing complexion when used on the face.

The Kansa wand can be used on various parts of the body - face, feet, neck, shoulders and even the ears. Its often used with massage oils and creams.

For facial massage, the smaller orb is used it to activate the Marma points - energy centers on our face for sinus, for migraines and upward strokes on the cheeks that help in lymphatic drainage and reduce the puffiness.

For body massage, the larger orb is used in circular motions to relax the muscles and relieve tension and stress.

A special Ayurvedic massage called the Kansa Vatki foot massage is when ghee or sesame oil is applied to the orb and the acupressure points of the feet are rubbed to enable relaxation. When done at the end of the day, it encourages sound sleep , detoxifies the body and calms the body inner state.

Its not just a tool, its a healing ritual.
