Immunity boosting Hibiscus Herbal Iced Tea for skin and heart health

Skin detox, Antioxidant , Supports Heart and Blood Pressure health



One of my favourite summer beverages 🌺 the Hibiscus tea is naturally rich in antioxidants and makes for a refreshing alternative to sugary drinks on warmer days. Some of its key benefits include :


a. Supports Heart health - may reduce bad cholesterol and improve cardiovascular health

b. Anti inflammatory - protects cells from radicals and lowers systemic inflammation

c. Regulates blood pressure - Naturally relaxes blood vessels, which may help lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure in people with mild hypertension

d. Aids weight management - promotes faster metabolism

e. Boosts immunity - High concentration of Vitamin C aids in boosting immunity


Served chilled or warm, it's light, vibrant, and a beautiful way to stay hydrated. To make :




Hibiscus Iced Tea

Recipe duration : 20-25 mins


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers

  • 2 cups water

  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Ice cubes

  • Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)


Method:


  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and let them steep for 5-6 minutes.

  3. Strain and allow the tea to cool.

  4. Stir in lemon juice and honey (if using).

  5. Refrigerate for 15-20 mins until chilled.

  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint.


Optional additions:

  • Orange slices for a citrusy twist

  • Fresh ginger while brewing
